On Sunday 16 March 2014, İnci Group employees and their families met at Bayraklı Laka lake to commemorate Founder of İnci Holding Cevdet İnci, and to plant trees. The ceremony was organised in cooperation with the Aegean Forestry Foundation. A total of 4,000 seedlings were added to the İnci Akü Forest situated in Bornova-Gökdere.

An annual tradition, the event was attended by İnci Group employees and their families. Over the past 19 years, İnci Holding has planted 79,000 seedlings in cooperation with the Aegean Forestry Foundation. Reminding those present that Cevdet İnci had laid the foundations of today’s Group back in 1952, President of İnci Holding Perihan İnci said, ‘This ceremony helps us commemorate our founder, and at the same time, contribute to the improvement of our environment. Over time this event has become an honoured tradition. This year we will add another 4,000 seedlings to bring the total to 79,000 trees. This is an achievement we are rightfully proud of. For a sustainable future we put the environment at the centre of our approach to production and our projects. The change brought about by the entrepreneurial spirit of our founder is now ours to maintain.’

General Manager of the Aegean Forestry Foundation Metin Gençol spoke of the activities in the planting area which are carried out in cooperation with the Regional Forestry Directorate Izmir. Gençol expressed his thanks for the contribution of İnci Group to afforestation since the establishment of the foundation, and presented Perihan İnci with a commemorative plaque.

After the speeches, the seedlings were planted.
